Forward Deployed Engineer
Gabriel Talent
About the Company
An early-stage fintech building a stablecoin clearinghouse, the rails that let payments companies, banks, and fintechs move stablecoins like money. The platform gives financial institutions one-for-one swaps between stablecoins across chains, with a focus on reconciliation at scale, guaranteed delivery times and fees, and compliant capital movement. Design partnerships are already in place with well-known fintech names, and the founding team brings deep backgrounds in fintech investing and engineering.
About the Role
This engineer lives at the boundary between the company and its customers: payments companies and financial institutions, often running on aging, fragmented infrastructure. The seat comes in earlier than a typical forward deployed role. You will own the full integration lifecycle, help define the product surface built with partners, and turn customer needs into roadmap input. This is an engineer who is willing to do sales, not a salesperson who codes. Technical depth is the bar.
What You'll Own
- The full integration lifecycle with customers and partners: scoping, technical design, implementation, testing, and go-live
- Triaging and scoping customer needs into actionable roadmap input
- Shared tooling, SDKs, and documentation that make integrating fast and painless
- First-responder debugging for production issues that cross the boundary between the company and a partner
- Talking to users and building product hands-on rather than only advising
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years building and shipping integrations with payment systems, financial infrastructure, or banking partners
- API user empathy: you have been on the other end of an API and know what good and bad integration experiences feel like
- The ability to move between engineering language and customer language without losing fidelity
- Fluency in complex flows of funds, and comfort going deep on them
- Strongest backgrounds: forward deployed, solutions, or integration engineers from fintech or payments infrastructure, or product-minded engineers from fintech startups who owned customer integrations from scoping through go-live
- Bonus: stablecoin experience
Logistics
New York City, in person five days a week, with regular partner travel. Compensation is $200K to $225K base plus equity. Visa sponsorship is available.
