About the Role
This is a full-stack product engineering role focused on LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, model evaluation, and rapid prototyping. This is a shipping role, not a research seat. You'll take features from concept through production while helping shape the direction of a small, high-leverage Applied AI team.
What You'll Own
- Ship LLM orchestration features end to end, from concept through production
- Evaluate new model releases and integrate them into the product
- Build and maintain AI connectors, internal tooling, and prototyping frameworks
- Partner closely with subject-matter experts to translate domain expertise into product capabilities
- Review technical work and help maintain a high engineering bar across the Applied AI team
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the team's technical direction
We're looking for unusually strong product engineers who have demonstrated real ownership in a smaller company or startup environment. Founders, founding engineers, or candidates with evidence of rapid progression or exceptional impact are particularly compelling. Experience at a smaller company matters more here than tenure at a large, established company.
- Deep, hands-on TypeScript and React experience. These should already be core strengths, not skills you're just beginning to develop
- Experience building AI products, chatbots, LLM integrations, or other production AI experiences
- Genuine, frequent use of modern AI tools and a strong understanding of how to build with them
- Strong product engineering instincts and a track record of shipping
- Comfort working in a small team where you will own significant pieces of the product
- A deep ML or research background alone is not enough for this role, we're looking for engineers who can turn AI capabilities into polished, production software
- Founding engineer experience, particularly at a company with a successful exit
- Hands-on experience with RAG systems and multi-agent AI
US/Canada, remote-friendly. Engineers near one of the company's two primary hubs work in-office Tuesday through Thursday, with regular engineering and company offsites. Compensation is $180K to $430K base plus equity. Visa: existing H-1B transfers are supported; new visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
